Porsche 996 My Fob Key Does Not Lock The Door

Porsche 996 my fob key does not lock the door.

What does not work is the remote lock and unlock. After installing the door handle do not close the vehicle door. The only way i can lock or unlock it is by inserting the key in the door and turning it. This unlocks the car again and makes the alarm remember the key again.

Insert key into door barrel or ignition lock and turn key whilst doing this press the unlock lock button the led on the dash should flash to indicate this has initialised the key to the car then remove key and test operation of remote. But there is no response at the car. Use a screw driver to engage the locking mechanism fully in the second notch.
